Sarah Engel

Sarah Engel is the President of January Digital and January Consulting, which offer strategic marketing leadership and digital media expertise to clients ranging from Carhartt to Kendra Scott to Ahold Delhaize. Sarah also holds positions as Board Member Emeritus and Strategic Advisor for the preeminent industry conferences, Shoptalk and Groceryshop.

With more than two decades of multifaceted experience, she has served on boards, guided teams and organizations, and held multiple roles in corporate leadership, including serving as President, Chief Marketing Officer, and Chief HR Officer for leading consumer and B2B brands alike. Notable roles include Vice President of Marketing and Creative Communications at fashion brand Lilly Pulitzer and Chief Marketing Officer of retail data leader DynamicAction (now Edited). She is passionate about connecting consumers with brands who have a story to tell and has done just that for brands ranging from Travelocity to to Chevrolet.

Consistent with her commitment to fostering social change for women and marginalized populations, she contributes her expertise as an advisory board member to Rebel Nell, a women-owned jewelry company dedicated to providing employment and support for marginalized women. She also serves on the board of directors of LSH, a non-profit organization committed to serving vulnerable children, adults, and families living in Philadelphia.

Her contributions to industry change have been recognized frequently, as she was named a Top Woman in Media and Ad Tech, as one of Six Women in Power in the Technology Sector Creating Corporate Change by Footwear News, and as one of Women's Wear Daily Top 20 Women Leaders in Business.
